The Forestry Commission will use the service to administer all new applications, existing cases will continue to be administered under our current process. Improvements in the quality of applications will allow us to process cases more quickly and efficiently. We'll also have better integration with other Government services such as the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD) and the Department of Environment, Planning and Countryside (EPC) of the Welsh Assembly.
